George Square
Location: George Square, EH8 9JZ
Travel Guide:
Parking – Buccleuch Place (Pay & Display) – access to Gardens via Windmill Lane through Studio bar and up the access lift. George Square (Blue Badge Parking) – West side of the square, speak to security for access from Crichton Street.
Single yellow lines on surrounding streets for Blue Badge holders if no loading restrictions.
Drop off – Crichton Street or Windmill Street – level access to East gate of Gardens

Potterow – Lothian Bus Services: 1, 9, 12, 47, 47B, 60
Chapel Street – Lothian Bus Services: 9, 12
Terrain:
External George Square consists of paved walkways and cobbled roads. George Square Gardens is an astroturfed area on a slight hill.
Piccolo is best accessible via North Gate. Palais du Variete is best accessible via East Gate.
East gate has a small stone lip through the gate, North gate has a smoother entry.
Toilets:
George Square Gardens toilets are located on the right-hand side as you enter the East Gate of the Gardens. These include female toilet block with sanitary bins, Urinals, Everyone cubicles and an accessible toilet. The accessible toilet also has baby change facilities
George Square Studios is within George Square and in the University building. These toilets can be used by customers attending shows in George Square. Entry is located at the south corner of the square via the glass box. There is lift access to the toilets. Facilities include two accessible toilets, male and female toilets.
Facilities:
George Square has multiple food and drink outlets around the square and inside the gardens. Drinks can be taken into any venue. Food is not permitted.
George Square (external to the gardens) has a number of food vendors along the east lane and a bar (Container bar) at the south east corner opposite the Business
George Square Studios have their own bar (Studio Bar) which drinks can be purchased for any show within George Square.

- Seat information – 500mm per person, bench seating with back.
- Queue is alongside the tent inside the gardens, bench seats are available at the front of the venue if required when queuing.
