The Festival Garden operates with e-ticketing to make sure to have your booking confirmation (with the ticket barcode) available on a device that is well charged. Depending on the event you are attending, your tickets may be scanned on arrival at the Garden or entering to a specific venue. The performance venue is detailed in your booking confirmation. Any additional information, if required, will be sent to the email address used to make your booking in advance of the performance.
If you are experiencing Covid-19 symptoms, need to self-isolate after coming into contact with someone who has tested positive or are unable to attend due to ill health, please get in touch with us as soon as possible to exchange your tickets for another performance. The quickest and easiest way to reach us in this instance is by emailing [email protected].
In the event of changes to Government guidelines requiring us to cancel your booked performance, you will be entitled to an automatic refund of the cost of the tickets. The booking fee will not be refunded as this covers the charges imposed by banks in processing these refunds.
Arriving at the Garden
What time should I arrive?
The Festival Garden is equipped with an exciting selection of food and drink options, so we recommend arriving in good time to make the most of all that’s on offer.
We will aim to open doors approximately 30 minutes before the performance start time to allow plenty of time and space for everyone to take their seats. To manage the flow of audience members into the venue, you may need to join a physically distanced queue which will be managed by members of the team.
We strongly recommend arriving in good time as latecomers may not be admitted.
What should I bring?
Luggage and bags
Due to the size of the Garden and the pop-up nature of the site, we’re afraid we are unable to offer a left luggage facility or accommodate large bags within our performance spaces.
We recommend bringing a face covering and kindly request that guests wear them within indoor spaces if they can. Members of the Festival Garden team will continue to wear face coverings.
All our box offices, food outlets and bars accept contactless payments, and this is our default payment method for speed and safety reasons.
Make sure to bring a device that can display your booking confirmation, as this will need to be scanned by a member of the team on arrival. If you have lost your e-ticket just visit the Garden Ticketing Office and a member of the team will be able to help.
How do I get in?
All our performance spaces (Queen of Flanders, Piccolo, Treehouse) are located within the Assembly Festival Garden. On arrival, just head to one of the signposted entrance points to gain entry into the Garden.
At busy times there may be a physically distanced queuing system to safely manage the flow of people in and out of the Garden.
Once in the Garden
Test and trace check-in
Once you enter the Garden, please follow the guidance on how to check-in using the NHS COVID-19 app and make sure to check out when you leave.
In some areas of the Garden, one-way systems may be in operation to facilitate physical distancing. In these locations, please follow signage or instructions from members of the team.
Seating is allocated on a first-come, first-served basis and a member of the team will direct you to your seats. We will endeavour to seat you along with those you’re attending with but for some performances, this cannot be guaranteed. If you have any questions or additional requirements, please let a member of the Front of House team know.
We are operating our indoor spaces on a reduced capacity basis.
There are plentiful cubicle based toilets available in the north-east corner of the Garden and these are clearly signposted. There are also accessible toilets available in this area and next to the entrance to the Queen of Flanders spiegeltent.

We’re Good to Go
We’re delighted to announce that we’ve received the ‘We’re Good to Go’ accreditation from Visit Britain which means the Garden meets UK Government and public health guidance in relation to the pandemic and have suitable processes in place to welcome visitors.
