To celebrate 30 years on the Fringe, Assembly presents The Talk Show. In the time that we have been running, a staggering number of people have launched their careers at Assembly and remained ongoing friends of the festival. The stories are legend - from winning awards to going to Hollywood; from playing a 100 seat theatre to becoming a household name on TV; to endless marriages and personal sagas - much of it began in the Crucible of the Festival and the Fringe. Each day will see different guests drawn from the past and present. Expect to see the likes of Jo Brand, Alan Cumming, Simon Callow, Johnny Vegas, Mel Smith, Alistair McGowan and many more. Join us as we delve into the history of the festival, people's own careers, what's hot, what's not and the general intrigue of the entertainment industry.
